Field Notes

Description:

This bird is characterized by a black hood over his head. It has a high and a hooked beak, which resembles the blade of a knife; the face is red. It is covered with black on top and on his chest a combination of light brown with black stripes. It has long, yellow legs.

Habitat:

It has a wide geographical distribution, ranging from Argentina, via Brazil to the southern United States.
