Field Notes

Description:

Frontal-lateral view of a female-plumaged individual (white underparts, blackish cheek, white line from eye back down side of face (across the "ear"), perched on a tree branch on the beach. Tail less forked than on mail, and bill barely shows any red.

Habitat:

Beach vegetation/hotel gardens.

Notes:

One of the common hummingbird species on the island.
