Description:
The well-known eye pattern of this spider identifies it as a Jumping Spider from the family Saltisidae, but despite considerable searching, I have been unable to find any images or descriptions which might help me to identify it further. I have encountered this kind of spider twice in the past. My spottings are listed in Notes below. Another Project Noah member, Francis Floe, has posted a spotting of a spider like this.
Habitat:
This spider was spotted on foliage in our backyard.
