Description:

Male has a mostly white head and blue bill, female has a lot more black on the face and a yellowish bill, see picture 3.

Habitat:

Lagoon near coast

Notes:

These are rare and localised, only breeding in a few places along the coast.

That is an unusual-looking duck!!!
Thanks Luc. On birds the mouth is called a bill, or sometimes beak, in English. A handful of these have been on our local marshes near Sagunto for a few weeks now.
