Field Notes

Description:

A long chain of white fluffy growth deep inside a damp and dark tree hollow

Habitat:

dead eucalyptus tree trunk. This was spotted in a forest with tall eucalyptus forest - usually quite damp

Notes:

I am sorry for the poor quality of the photo. It was difficult to reach into the hollow for a closer and better shot. The place was too damp and water-logged and there were too many leeches !!
Could this be Ceratiomyxa ?.
