Field Notes

Description:

It is primarily solitary, except during breeding season. It feeds on a variety of fruits, eg., Coussarea, Hamelia, Guateria, small palms. Catch foliage caterpillars tetigónidos and other insects and small lizards. Sometimes still monkey troops or flocks of "caciques" (Cacicus uropygialis, Icteridae) and catch insects escaping them.

Habitat:

They live in the canopy and intermediate levels of humid lowland forest, mature secondary forest, cocoa plantations.
