Marshy places.

I just love the position of the spider near curly stem of an unknown plants (too!).

Genus yes, but not sure too about the species. Sorry for a-not-detail pics! :(

It is one of the Argiope species - the garden spiders. I cant see enough detail but here is one species from Sumatra http://potokito-myshot.blogspot.com/2012/02/st-andrews-cross-spider-argiope.html
