Field Notes

Description:

Dark brown butterfly. Complete row of marginal and sub-marginal white spots.

Habitat:

On a Tridax procumbens flower in a spot of waste land behind my office, in the heart of the city.

Notes:

Reportedly distasteful to predators, "inedibility" was the word used by Wikipedia. I am happy that it has one weapon at laest to help it survive.
