Description:
They are solitary or form pairs. Consume many fruits, especially palms and "platanillas" (Heliconia spp.). Ventures from a perch to catch insects, spiders, frogs and small lizards that are on the ground or vegetation, or fish and crab traps also as "kingfisher" (F. Alcedinidae). Associated with foraging ants "or warrior ants" (Eciton sp.) And catches insects and other organisms fleeing these.
Habitat:
They live in tall wet forests, shading and advanced secondary growth, partially cleared areas where perch and sing from the top of the canopy, while the understory foraging down.
