Field Notes

Description:

Stiffly upright, coarse, stout, densly hairy biennal, to 6'. Soft, felt-like leaves. Spike of yellow flowers rises from center of basal rosette of leaves. Individual flowers are about 1" wide.

Habitat:

Various soils, generally in sun to part sun.
