Golden Eagle; Aguila Real
Aguila chrysaetos
39.681, -0.661929
Field Notes
Description:
The whitish patches suggest that this is an immature. It was quite high up but still looked massive, and the feet look absolutely huge. Looked like it had been carrying/eating something like a rabbit or hare and then dropped the remains before heading back to the mountains where they normally live, just a few miles north of here.
Habitat:
Drifted high over our village from the mountains where they live.
