This is from when I worked at a Clemson University entomology lab. We were raising predator beetles that specialized in feeding on the Hemlock Wooly Adelgid.

It would be cool if you do have the photos. We have another user that posts photos from his microscope & they always generate lots of interest!

I will look to see if I have any saved pictures from a microscope on my computer. Adult HWA are about the size of a period from newspaper print. They live inside the small cotton like balls on hemlock trees. If you are out hiking, you will most likely see the white egg sacs instead of seeing the adults.
