Field Notes
Description:
Hen large duck with a long orange bill with some black marks on it, Body is marked with brown and tan feathers.
Drake is one of the most colorful ducks with an iridescent green head, long black bill. upper body with black, chestnut brown and white, lower body is mostly white.
Habitat:
Reservoirs, lakes, ponds, rivers and wetlands
Notes:
I look forward to seeing these beautiful birds pass through our area every spring.
