Field Notes
Description:
This tree grows 20-30 feet tall and 26-33ft wide. The bark is dark colored and smooth. The leaves turn light to dark magenta pink in color. It's sometimes known as the Spicewood tree. It's not in risk of becoming extinct.
Habitat:
The habitat is mixed forests and hedgerows while it grows in semi-warm to warm/tropical temperatures and needs fertile soil.
Notes:
This tree is usually found in the southeastern and Midwest area. Some states it's found in are Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee, Kentucky, the Virginias, and parts of Oklahoma and Texas.
