yes these were at my local zoo. I just never noticed them before and there was not any signs or zoo people around to ask.
Nice photo! Were these wild of captive? I notice they are ringed.
That's odd they are related to waterfowl yet don't have a flat bill
Jane, your shot of this screamer is wonderful. They are also known as Crested Screamers. It's a very strange member of the order Anseriformes, which includes ducks, geese and swans.
