The body is a bit squat when compared to the wings, too.
Good point...the creamy patches may have been a different color, although I am not sure if they experience discoloration after death, as in other organisms.
I have some doubts about sphinx moths. These creamy patches, the relation wing to body size and the wing form is in my eyes not typical for Sphingidae.
