Field Notes

Description:

White mushrooms in a large cluster. The young cap is joined by a membrane along the stem. The pink gills change to brown as the mushroom ages. Musty smell. Textured top of cap.

Habitat:

Roadside nature strip. Several rotting stumps were nearby.
