Hi Rachel16, This is a Magnolia tree. There are several species and cultivars. If you have a close-up of the flower, someone can help ID it with certainty. Based on these two images, I guess it's a hybrid called Saucer Magnolia (Magnolia × soulangeana). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnolia_%C3%97_soulangeana
