Notes:

I think this is subspecies howittii (Gippsland water dragon) instead of ssp. lesueurii (Eastern water dragon) because of the colouration under its neck and the absence of the black band behind the eye. Unusual because the location is a fair way from the Gippsland in Victoria.

Excellent spot. Burrinjuck sure is a long way from home. Might be on vacation. Might have escaped from Canberra Botanic Gardens. Amazing how much they vary.
