Field Notes

Description:

Mushrooms with reddish brown caps with dark margins- the largest about 45mm. The caps were fleshy and moist and looked pitted. the underside had angular pores. One of the mushrooms was being eaten by several millipedes. Stipe had no frills

Habitat:

This clump of mushrooms were growing in damp grass beneath a eucalyptus tree.

Notes:

I have no further information to assist with an ID - still learning what's required !!

They do look similar martin and yours are golden as you stated. Mine were a reddish brown, quite lovely (like creme caramel). there were pine trees on this strip but these mushrooms were definitely under a gum tree. Maybe the hyphae had spread far and wide !! - will check the spot again tomorrow.
This does look similar to mine. I'd call them a match. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/9860718 They were strongly associated with pines. Too bad it doesn't provide an ID =(
