Field Notes

Description:

small lepidopteran larvae. They burrow between layers of the leaves, feeding safely on the leaf tissue.

Habitat:

Suburban roadside eucalyptus. This species seems to favor trees with large thick leaves.

Notes:

There is a suspected association with nematodes (roundworms) for this species and some research for me to do. Watch this space.
