I agree, it is probably not Gana, that's why I wrote 8 months ago: "Remembers me of Tagiades gana." Today I would rather note Tagiades sp. than adding a species suggestion. "Remembers me" is not the same like "I think it is" etc. People who know me in the meanwhile know what I mean with these sometimes very subtile phrases I use, when I am not 100% sure of an ID. I might also say: It is xy with 34% (Remembers me) or it is xy with 89% (I think it is). ;-)... Stopp kidding! I always take it very serious with IDs and I did also some kind of progress the last months, so I am even more serious today. Sorry about the confusion. Personally I would take for this one Tagiades sp., after doing a little reserach, it might be Tagiades japetus, but I would not confirm that. I have seen Gana with larger spots, the spots in Japetus are often larger than in yours. There are about 15 different Tagiades sp. in your area and at least 24 subspecies of Japetus.

Hi Urifah, bayucca... T.gana seems different from the spotting. Pictures of T.gana show only white dots at the upperside of the forewing. I'm researching about my own spotting very similar to this, that's why I already compared with T. gana. This could be a subspecies of T. japetus. This is also a Hesperiidae/Skipper. Remembers me of Tagiades gana.
