Description:
This is a type of plant whose roots hang in the air. It absorbs water and nutrients from the air with its leaves. It is not parasitic, only depends on other plants for physical support. These type of plants are called epiphytes for this ability. I am pretty sure the genus of thus one is Tillandsia.

I had never seen one of these plants before, only read about it.
