Field Notes
Description:
Large, brown crane fly with long, slender abdomen, legs and mouth parts. There is a dark stripe down the abdomen. The thorax has a subtle pattern. The eyes range from green to red.
Habitat:
Grass and woodsorrel in backyard after heavy rains.
