. . . its faded dorsal stripe is much more suggestive of E. monina, at least in my experience.
Euthalia have these strange caterpillars. Might even be Euthalia aconthia (which would be "Baron" the other species are some kind of other Barons), there are quite variable during the different instars. That's definitely something for Keith to look at it. He has for sure the correct ID. I would be happy if my Euthalia is not completely out of the row ...
