Description:
It looks like somebody sprayed foam insulation on the rocks. I trust it's a fungus or maybe a lichen. It's the second time I've seen this phenomena but I don't know what it is.
Habitat:
Douglas fir/Arbutus forest. On a rocky spot that was exposed in a bed of moss.
