Field Notes

Description:

Sparrow sized birds with stout beaks. Front parts are white. Head is dark brown as is the beak and back.

Habitat:

They settled on the electric line above the Guest House I was staying in Ella, Sri Lanka. and then flew down to forage on the seeds of some wild grass. Dawn was just breaking. Breakfast was good I suppose.
