Field Notes

Description:

Very well disguised,looks like a fresh green leaf in the bushes,she even mimic the ribes of the leafs.They have sexual dichromism in the wings colouration,males have yellow wings and iridescence while females have greenish-white wings and are not iridescent.

Habitat:

Spotted in Serradela Mountain,near a little water dam,surrounded by a mix forest of oaks,betulas,chestnut trees and several pine trees species.

Notes:

She was feeding in a Echium vulgare flower and i see her while i was photographing the Echium.

Thanks Tukup,at first site i thougth it was a leave,it was the wing movements that take my atention,first time i see this species,they have a perfect mimetic collour and form,looks realy a green fresh leave
