Description:
"
A low mound of spiny, flat, nearly oval joints with bright yellow or sometimes bright magenta flowers. Stems: Joints 2-4" (5-10 cm) long, bluish green. Spines: 2-3" (5-7.5 cm) long, 6-10 per cluster, mostly bent down. Height: 3-6" (7.5-15 cm); clump of stems 1-10' (30-300 cm) wide.
