Field Notes

Description:

Rich green coloration, approx 5" in length from tip of nose to end of tail. Per wikipedia, it has color changing abilitites but is not a true chameleon. Brown shades and black rings around eyes are syptoms of a cold or stressed Carolina Anole, the brightness of this one suggests its pretty happy:) Defense mechanism: it displays autonomy of the tail to escape predation.

Habitat:

Suburban neighborhood, this one on a glass door, midlands South Carolina.
