Description:

Cypripedium x alaskanum is a hybrid between Cypripedium yatabeanum and C. guttatum. According to photos online the hybrid seems like a closer match than either of the parent species. This hybridization occurs naturally without any human intervention.

Habitat:

Edge of a densely vegetated area overlooking the ocean. Location has been moved to preserve the population.

Thanks Neil! It really is a wonderland here in the summer. So many flowers and amazing sights to see! Hopefully someone who knows their wild orchids can weigh in on whether or not its a hybrid.
