Description:

Small to medium butterfly 30mm? with dark brown and yellow patterns on all wings; body has 'fur' of green-blue.

Habitat:

Poacea. This one within tall eucalyptus forest.

Nice one. I agree with Leanne, the blue-green fur is beautiful.
You've done well to sneak up on a Kershaw's brown. They are very alert. They are very common at higher altitudes. The more common ringed xenica should be everywhere but I haven't seen them this season.
This butterfly is beautiful. I love his blue/green fur.
