Field Notes

Description:

Ranging from around 8-12mm long. These bugs were all over a weed in my garden. They were mainly black with red/orange markings.

Habitat:

Found in my garden.

It looks like the nymphs of this one I spotted (Citron bug): http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/5544367
The beak is the wrong shape for an assassin bug, but the flattened areas on the hind leg are a classic leaf-footed bug feature. Definitely a juvenile, Family Coreidae.
