This is not a snapping turtle. The shell is domed and proportions aren't right. Do you have any other photos? It's either a common musk turtle, Sternotherus odoratus, or a striped mud turtle, Kinosternon baurii. I can't tell from the photos which one, but it isn't a snapping turtle.
