Field Notes

Description:

Hungry slug

Habitat:

Grandma Lorna's garden (hyacinths, tulips, jonquils, etc.) in the Kanawha Valley of West Virginia.

Notes:

It appears to be munching on the last piece of tree pollen that I failed to sweep off the porch. Today was a scorcher, which is unusual this time of year. The last record was set in the 1920s. So, I'm sure this little one is enjoying the moist night air.
