Western Gray Squirrel

Western Gray Squirrels are a gunmetal gray on top and fade to white on the underbelly. They are the largest squirrels on the west coast, but are extremely shy. This one was scared off by a squirrel half its size several times!
Their tails are very bushy and are used for warmth in the winter. Mother squirrels will line their birthing nests with their own tail fur.
