Description:

As usual I took the first picture from a distance to see if was there, then the rest as I got closer. It often hides in the square hole before I get close enough for a good shot. One day....

Habitat:

Coastal marshes.

I agree, but the sequence is in order taken, showing the bird from about half a kilometre away, then about every 100 metres with the last about 150 metres away. I then drop down out of sight until about 25 metres away but by then it is usually in hiding already.
