Field Notes

Description:

This gull is white with wings pearl gray except the tip black.The head is dark brown except in winter when it is white with a blackish spot behind the eye. The legs are orange or orange-red and the bill red-yellow.

Habitat:

Breeds in much of Europe and Asia, and also in coastal eastern Canada. Seen at Lake Geneva
