Description:

I have taken several photos of this kind of Planthopper, over the years, but I think this is the first time that the proboscis (rostrum) can be seen clearly (in my first picture).

Habitat:

This Long-nosed Planthopper was spotted in our backyard vegetable plot on a Sponge Gourd (Luffa acutangula ) locally called Patola. Plant identity -
