Field Notes

Description:

One of the largest Geometrid moths. These two individuals were all seen on the same night. This species does have some variation in coloration, especially regionally, but is generally easy to identify due to size and shape of wings. I believe the moth in the second and third images may have recently emerged.

Habitat:

Suburban yard. Attracted to a blacklight.
