Description:

The Starling (S. vulgaris) in these pictures is the paler bird with lots of large spots, the other two birds being Spotless Starlings (S. unicolor). The Starling is a winter visitor to this area while the Spotless Starling is a year-round resident, and the two readily mix when they are together.

Habitat:

Limestone outcrop in foothills of los Serranos mountains.
