Description:

One of the earliest plants to flower in coastal Maine, coltsfoot attracts a variety of early season pollinators.

Habitat:

Coltsfoot seems to like marginal soils, often found along roadsides and in fine stones and gravel. This one was growing in gravel beneath the drooling of a school building.
