Description:

A medium size butterfly with black wings that have rows of white spots and orange tips.

Habitat:

Spotted next to wetlands in Kent, Wa.

Notes:

Common trees that the larvae feed on include willow (Salix), poplar, cherry (Prunus), cottonwood (Populus), and an assortment of orchard trees, including cherry, apple, and plum.
