It's good to know with fungi what the underneath is like - gills, pores, teeth, tubes etc. - if you want to i d it... and maybe what it's growing on or in or under... Nice cluster anyway and good collection of spottings too.
Sorry Tricia missed your comment. Stereum is type genus of the Stereaceae family of fungi.. Also Trametes is a good search.
I don't know much about the forgotten flora (fungi etc)... But I do dint their intricacy quite intriguing!
