Description:

About 2cm long found sunning itself on a black bbq cover near North Bay Ontario, Trout Lake

Habitat:

Mixed forest consisting of red and white pine, red maple and balsam.

:) You're welcome! I got really lucky with the i.d. - fortunately this moth has really clear markings so I was able to see the color pattern.
Well that explains why I couldn't Id it. It looked so much like a beetle. Thank you
