Field Notes

Description:

2.5-3cm across and about 8cm tall growing from the twig in the foreground (3rd photo) in deciduous woodland mostly birch. Smell and taste difficult to discern. I'm not sure on the ID, it seemed a very pure white colour. here's a similar-ish one ID'd as Mycena galopus var. candida http://www.ispotnature.org/node/461967
