Habitat:

roadside

Notes:

This is only twice in 20 years of living here that I've seen a beaver. The first I didn't have my camera with me, or I'd have had my husband drive around and pass him by. This only sadly was looking for new territory during the recent flooding and didn't survive.

Very sad. He was a fairly young male. The other one I saw was in a roadside drainage ditch and weighed at least 40 pounds. He was bigger than my australian shepherd dog
Poor thing! It's sad that the beaver didn't survive..
