Small spider with long front legs and small back legs. A silver look to the color with some black markings on the butt.

Habitat:

On a wooden fence.

Hi spider & welcome to Project Noah! I'm afraid it will be impossible to identify this with any degree of accuracy as their simply isn't enough detail to go on. It is very unlikely to be an Orchard Orbweaver as that species has green legs which this doesn't appear to.

Hard to tell from the photo, but these spiders are all over my yard (in north Georgia). I'm from Virginia, and I used to see a lot of them there too.
