Field Notes

Description:

Common tidepool crab in Southern California. These guys are tiny and mighty! I witnessed a few crabs being chased off by a smaller one, and one being torn apart for food!! Nature is so awesome! (and extreme.)

Habitat:

Tidepools and shallows of the Pacific ocean. Frequently darts into crevices in the rocks where they make their homes.
