Field Notes

Description:

A pale cream-coloured geometrid moth with brown specks on wings and body. Each fore wing had a dark circular spot in the middle of the inner wing margin.
wing span was about 25 mm.

Habitat:

Spotted in a nature reserve with native trees and plants.

Notes:

HFamily: Geometridae
Subfamily: Larentiinae

I think yours is the same genus Stephen. According to Peter Marriott these are difficult to identify accurately because of "undescribed species and the confusion in collections". I need to look at other resources to confirm my ID. Will keep yours in mind...
